Purpose of the Auction
All auction proceeds benefit the Milwaukee Art Museum by providing funding for art acquisitions and exhibitions.  

Auction Items:  Where does the art comes from?
Generous donations from the artists in this year’s Festival!
Over half of the artists participating in the 2009 LFOA voluntarily donate one or more original pieces of art to the auction.  Please join us in thanking the artists in this year’s Lakefront Festival of Arts for their generous support!   

How the Auction Works
Specialized software (developed and sponsored by iNET-WEB.com) allows individuals to bid online from the Festival’s Silent Auction area on
iNET-PC.com dedicated laptops.  Interested individuals may also track their bids and/or place new bids before and after Festival hours from anywhere they have internet access.  Simply click on the LFOA Silent Art Auction link at www.mam.org/lfoa to visit the LFOA auction website. 

Festival Hours of Operation
All original art is on display at the LFOA Silent Auction Area, which is directly adjacent to the Milwaukee Magazine Wine Garden on the southeast grounds of the Milwaukee Art Museum.  Bids may be placed onsite during the following Festival hours:

Friday, June 19, 2009   12:00pm – 8:00pm
Saturday, June 20, 2009   10:00am – 7:00pm
Sunday, June 21, 2009   10:00am – 3:00pm (Bidding closes at 3pm!)

Award and Notification of Winning Bids
Bidding on all items ends at 3:00pm CST on Sunday, June 21, 2009.  The system will automatically stop accepting bids at that time. The last bid that is processed by the system prior to the auction’s closing time will be the winning bid. The system will automatically send a congratulatory e-mail to the e-mail address provided by the winning bidder during registration. 

All winners will be contacted by email after 3:00pm on Sunday, June 21st.

Payment
If you are a winning bidder, the credit card you provided upon registration will automatically be charged for the amount of your final bid, plus applicable sales tax, once the bidding closes at 3:00pm on Sunday, June 21st.  ALL SALES ARE SUBJECT TO STATE AND LOCAL SALES TAX, WHICH WILL BE ADDED TO EACH PURCHASE.  

Auction Item Pick Up
All auction items must be paid in full prior to picking up your item.  Winners may pick up their auction items on Sunday the 21st. from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM either: At the LFOA Silent Auction Tent or by pre-arrangement only at the Festival entrance on Michigan Street (South Festival entrance facing the Summerfest Grounds.) 

Winners who are unable to pick up their items at the Festival grounds on Sunday may make alternative arrangements to pick them up at iNET-WEB, 1430 E. Moreland Blvd. (Hwy 18), in Waukesha.  262-574-9400 Pick up times are as follows:

Monday – Friday: 9:00 am – 8:00 pm
Saturday: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm

Please call Steve Libbey at 262-574-9400  steve@inet-pc.com to arrange for pick-up.  All items must be picked up by: Monday, June 29th.

Shipping & Insurance
You may also request an item to be sent to you.  If requested, shipping and insurance costs will also be charged to the credit card provided during registration by the winning bidder.  Auction items will be sent UPS Ground. The Lakefront Festival of Arts is not liable for items lost or damaged during shipment.  Please call Steve at iNET-WEB to arrange Shipping and payment of shipping charges of your item before: Monday June 29th.   262-574-9400
