Whitewater, WI Benedictsculpture@gmail.com I was an art instructor for 28 years and have been an artist for 35 years. I graduated with a BFA in Art Education from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. I received my MA and MFA from the University of Wisconsin Madison. My degrees are in ceramics and sculpture. I have exhibited in galleries and art shows throughout the country. I presently have work displayed in art museums and private collections and in various art galleries in the Midwest. My varied work and academic background lends itself to a wide use of traditional and nontraditional forms and materials. My experimentation with form, color and texture varies in my work for trying new concepts and to push the envelope. Dynamic use of color provides strong visual pieces emphasizing elements and principles of design. The pieces primarily consist of clay with a variety of techniques and surface treatment. My work is intended for either indoor or outdoor locations.
